- ➤ Your Community Foundation in Morgantown has established the Katie Finklea Fund for Young Dancers to pay tuition, travel and housing costs for dancers aged 12-18 following her six-year battle with cancer. - ➤ At WVU’s Board meeting on Friday, Dec. 19, President Michael Benson reported a 7.8% increase in the four-year graduation rate and a record number of first-year applications as first-generation retention reached 78.6% thanks to the fall 'Win West Virginia' strategy — the board will reconvene on Feb. 20. - ➤ WVU President Michael Benson led today's commencement ceremony in Morgantown as new graduates marked a milestone in their academic journey. The event ended with a rendition of Country Roads (a nod to school tradition) that highlighted the day's festive spirit. WDTV
