- ➤ A sprinkler line burst Tuesday evening at a Morgantown assisted living facility, and residents were evacuated while crews worked to restore the system (officials have not provided an update on repairs). MetroNews

- ➤ WestRidge confirmed that its water and sewer improvements under the Chaplin Hill Gateway Project will continue as scheduled, despite bankruptcy filing. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ WVU physicians warn residents to look for early whooping cough signs as cases have risen to levels not seen since 2010. They advise staying home if symptoms appear (especially for infants) and seeking treatment quickly to prevent further spread. WDTV
- ➤ Last Wednesday, Mon EMS added portable carbon monoxide detectors to all vehicles and within 48 hours these devices alerted responders to dangerous levels at a Five Guys in Suncrest Towne Centre. Local fire departments worked with EMS + quickly evacuating the area so patrons and staff received timely care. The Dominion Post
- ➤ First Exchange Bank donated $3K through its annual Pink Out campaign by pledging $25 for each new deposit opened in October. The donation was presented Tuesday at the Women’s Imaging Center at Vandalia Health in Morgantown to support breast cancer initiatives. The Dominion Post
