  • WVU Extension agribusiness specialist Dee Singh-Knights is urging locals to support nearby farms this holiday season by buying fresh produce and one-of-a-kind gifts that keep dollars in the community + create jobs.   • A Marion County student musician has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. The young artist will take the stage at the historic venue in New York soon following the recent announcement.  WDTV
  • The Carpenter Ants released a new Christmas album - There Ain’t No Sanity Claus - featuring Larry Groce, Ann Magnuson and John Ellison, with an interview of lead guitarist Michael Lipton on West Virginia Morning. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Faculty, staff and graduate students may nominate a mentor for an award honoring research + creative achievement at the Office of Graduate Education and Life; finalists from each Benedum Foundation category will win $2,500, and nominations are due by Jan. 30.  West Virginia University

  • Mon Health Cancer Center in Morgantown now offers PLUVICTO (a targeted radiation therapy for men with advanced prostate cancer that did not respond to hormone treatment), expanding local treatment options.  WV News

  • Guard Gia Cooke leads the Mountaineers with an average of 16.2 points over 12 games, helping the team improve to a 10-2 record after Sunday's win at Texas A&M. She said strong team support has boosted her confidence as she continues to score in double figures.  MetroNews
