- ➤ West Virginia Supreme Court justices ruled in favor of an Amish couple who wished to adopt a mixed race toddler by determining that the loving care they provided outweighs concerns over his education and medical care. The decision allows the boy—who has been cared for since birth and lives with his three older adopted sisters—to remain in his stable home in Summers County. MetroNews
