- ➤ WVU Medicine Children’s is holding a community toy drive this Sunday, November 30 at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place from noon to 3 p.m. Donations are for new, unwrapped toys for patients aged newborn to 18 years old — food, used items and homemade blankets are not accepted — with small to medium items around $50 preferred. - ➤ Local volunteers launched the Santas for Seniors WV program on Nov. 25 to bring holiday cheer and personalized visits to nursing home residents—organizers say the initiative aims to brighten the season for seniors. WDTV
- ➤ West Virginia native Jennifer Garner spent the weekend in Fayette County visiting schools and homes—stopping at New River Primary School where one family received a special visit and partnering with Save the Children, then going to Clay Elementary in Clay County to support the Mountaineer Food Bank Extra Mile Feeding Program. - ➤ Kings Hands Boxing Club held its ribbon cutting in Stonewood on Nov. 25 to mark its official launch, and the club plans to host boxing training sessions. WDTV
- ➤ All 17 business coaches at the West Virginia Small Business Development Center finished the North Star Cybersecurity Certification Training Program and will now use their new skills to help small businesses improve cybersecurity — a move that strengthens local defenses against online threats.
