- ➤ At its recent meeting, the board approved deals with Veritas Contracting and Laurita Inc to fix up White Park’s playground with a new swing set, slide combo and climbing net—work that includes leveling, drainage and safety measures. These projects add to nearly $2 million in sales tax investments that have improved many parks in Morgantown. The Dominion Post

- ➤ State education officials say public school enrollment dropped 2.2% over the past year—falling to 234,957 from over 250,000 in 2021-22—and attribute the decline to economic challenges that spurred business closures and increased the appeal of charter and home schooling options. MetroNews
- ➤ The University will host open forums in early December for the four finalists for the next provost and vice president of academic affairs—scheduled on Dec.1, Dec.2, Dec.3, and Dec.5—where SGA and students can meet with each candidate.
