- ➤ State officials are now accepting public comments on the Brandonville Solar project—if approved, it will produce 59 megawatts from 1,000 acres and become operational by late 2027. Local residents have raised concerns about farmland loss and wildlife impacts as the project is planned between Glade Run and Big Sandy Creek near Brandonville. MetroNews
