- ➤ Morgantown’s SABO Coffee Roasters opened last spring when Sara Boltralik and Sebastian Sepúlveda Cartes began roasting high-quality arabica beans for local coffee lovers. The roaster now supplies its fresh coffee to local cafes—AntiquiTea House, Bishops Bagels and Brews, and Noble Cafe and Bakery—and sells bags for home brewing. Morgantown Magazine

- ➤ The Morgantown History Museum will host a historical exhibit on Oct. 17 to mark the 240th anniversary of Founder’s Day and show how both famous figures and everyday locals built Morgantown. - ➤ At 99 years old, Louis Birurakis—a local historian and Mountaineer fan—recalls attending WVU games since the 1930s and working to preserve Scotts Run heritage while planning to publish his autobiography before his 100th birthday. - ➤ WVU’s Office of Academic Integrity reported that academic dishonesty cases dropped 14% to 344 reports in the 2024-25 school year—while AI-related offenses increased 157% to 242 cases, mainly in math, psychology and biology courses. The Daily Athenaeum

- ➤ After conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated, several WVU professors expressed concerns that free speech is being stifled as faculty self-censor to avoid disciplinary action for their social media posts.
