- ➤ Homeschool parents sent written complaints about long wait times and delayed supplies needed for lessons, with some orders taking over 10 days. Treasurer Larry Pack said he has started biweekly meetings with the vendor & added more staff to improve the system. MetroNews
- ➤ Today, West Virginia University President Michael T. Benson will deliver his first State of the University address at 3 p.m. from Fitzsimmons Event Hall in the College of Law where he will share his vision for WVU's future. He has toured many West Virginia counties since July on his Welcome Home tour. MetroNews
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City and county leaders are considering a joint authority to manage the airport—an idea aimed at securing funding for a runway extension that started in early 2021 and is set to finish by 2030. The plan would also help develop the nearby I-68 Commerce Park as a future economic engine. MetroNews

- ➤ West Virginia public health officials said families seeking religious exemptions for school vaccinations need only provide basic details + they do not have to submit extra proof of their beliefs. The process follows guidance from Gov. Morrisey and an executive order that did not call for added evidence like a pastor’s signature. MetroNews
