CRIME NEWS

  • A Texas man, Jonathan Ramirez, was convicted of brutally murdering Learfield employee Jacob Lough in January 2024 when he stole Lough’s car and attacked him in his sleep—Morgantown and WVU police quickly captured him, and prosecutors said his killing is one of the county’s most brutal incidents with Ramirez now facing a life sentence without mercy.  MetroNews

  • Today two early hunting seasons open in West Virginia as the Canada goose season begins at dawn to manage the resident bird population and the dove season starts at noon amid wet spring conditions.
