  • A Texas man accused of killing a Learfield employee will go on trial in Morgantown this week—jury selection begins today as he faces charges of first-degree murder, burglary, and grand larceny.  MetroNews

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Timet in Jackson County is gearing up as the new plant plans its first pour by the end of this year and has about 300 workers ready to begin training - some employees left previous jobs for a chance to learn new titanium production methods in the VAR unit. Manager Nathan Curfman and team member Seth VanMeter said the plant will boost local manufacturing opportunities.  MetroNews

  • Entrepreneur Frank Vitale has been chosen as president of the West Virginia National Guard Foundation. He is a Morgantown native with 17 years in the National Guard—he will expand support for soldiers and families by boosting outreach and preparing for the Gold Star Family Retreat at Camp Dawson from Sept. 25 to 28.  MetroNews
