- ➤ In 2024, the West Virginia Grant Resource Centers secured over $14.7 million in grant awards to fund community, infrastructure, and workforce projects statewide—an initiative led by West Virginia University and Marshall University that also provided more than 1,400 training sessions and sustained 145 jobs across the state. - ➤ West Virginia ended its last fiscal year with a surplus of $338.5 million and started the new year strong by collecting $388 million in July, 15.8% more than last year.
