- ➤ A Morgan County deputy was injured around 7 a.m. Saturday morning when a suspect fired a 12-gauge shotgun during a domestic call in Spohrs Crossroads—Deputy Bradley Mechem received four pellet wounds, is recovering at War Memorial Hospital, and suspect Melvin Gallion has been charged with attempted murder on a law enforcement officer.
