  • State police (Troop A Fire Marshal Unit) determined Friday morning that the fire at the Eastern Orthodox Foundation was an act of arson.  WV News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Attendance in Monongalia County Schools rose from 91% two years ago to 93.5% last year, but the district is still working to reach the 95% goal. Director of Attendance Teddy Stewart said four staff members are leading weekly and monthly challenges & rewards to boost attendance among roughly 11,000 students.  MetroNews
