EDUCATION NEWS

  • WVU will host free summer workshops on AI, Digital Health, and Bio/Neuro-Inspired Machine Learning from Monday, July 21 through Wednesday, July 23 — the sessions will be held in-person and via Zoom and require registration.  West Virginia University

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Thursday, the Morgantown Utility Board approved $900,000 in emergency spending to fix a 30-inch sewer line damaged by a landslide along Deckers Creek and to order directional drilling for a water line below the Monongahela River — officials noted that further excavation may reveal unexpected conditions.  The Dominion Post

SPORTS NEWS

  • Morgantown Post 2 rallied late on Wednesday night after trailing in the sixth inning to beat Bridgeport Post 68—scoring seven runs to regain the lead. They advanced to face the winner of Thursday’s 4 p.m. elimination game between Bridgeport Post 68 and Clarksburg Post 13, with the next game scheduled for 7 p.m.  The Dominion Post
  • Jarrod West returns to the Charleston Coliseum to coach the WVU alumni team in today's TBT game at 8 p.m.—he will lead his son Lil Jarrod on the court, and the matchup may feel extra emotional if they face Marshall’s team.  The Dominion Post
