EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ WVU is hosting SpaceTrek for young women in STEM this week to provide hands-on aerospace engineering and satellite technology experience. Camp instructors hope the girls gain confidence to pursue STEM careers and build small satellites during the camp + the program received $3.98 million from the Appalachian Regional Commission. WDTV
- ➤ Amanda Craddock is visiting campus today for meetings — a public forum runs from 1:15-2:30 p.m. in Reynolds Hall Room 2001 or on Zoom as part of the national search for a new vice president for Enrollment Management. Additional candidate visits are scheduled for July 17, 21 and 22 and the search committee invites feedback from the campus community. West Virginia University
- ➤ Michael T. Benson is now serving as WVU’s 27th president and began his role by walking around Morgantown before his official start on July 15. He will travel across West Virginia to meet local residents—emphasizing that the university belongs to everyone—while leading a hands-on approach to drive academic and community initiatives.
