- ➤ Governor Patrick Morrisey announced that the state and local officials have partnered to repair Exit 155 at Chaplin Hill Road on I-79 in Morgantown today. The project will reconfigure the interchange, replace aging bridges, build a two-lane flyover for westbound traffic, and improve the adjacent road into a multi-lane boulevard using a budget of about $135,000,000—half funded by the state. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ During a Wednesday morning press conference, Gov. Patrick Morrisey announced that West Virginia recorded the largest drop in overdose deaths nationwide - opioid-related deaths fell by 69%, fentanyl deaths dropped 71%, and methamphetamine deaths dropped 64%. He credited this improvement to efforts such as distributing over 90,000 Naloxone kits and increasing residential treatment beds from 197 to more than 1800. West Virginia Public Broadcasting
