- ➤ A new law giving teachers more authority over discipline in public schools will take effect on July 2. Governor Patrick Morrisey said the measure strengthens classroom control — allowing teachers to manage student behavior from arrival until dismissal while maintaining a ban on corporal punishment. - ➤ Mack Frantz from the WVDNR said local wildlife adapts to floods by finding higher ground or safe shelter — a way to protect themselves from natural disturbances.
