- ➤ Construction workers discovered human remains on Monday in a wooded area between Scott Avenue and Smithtown Road in Monongalia County — the body was taken to the West Virginia Medical Examiner's Office while local agencies work to identify the individual. WDTV

- ➤ WVU will induct five Mountaineers into the Order of Vandalia on Friday, June 6 — Judge Irene Berger, Dr. John Brick, Tom Jones, Ken Kendrick, and Carolyn Long will be honored for their service and loyalty while the ceremony also remembers two past Vandalians. WVU Today

- ➤ John Howard, director of NIOSH, told Judge Irene Berger that 51 Morgantown Respiratory Health Division workers returned to work after receiving termination notices in April as the black lung screening program resumed—following a court order after a miner's lawsuit. - ➤ The state Division of Highways is building a new access road over the Monongahela River to serve the Morgantown Industrial Park with Triton Construction winning the $59.7 million bid, and workers are currently clearing and excavating with plans to start work on the piers and superstructure soon.
