  • Racing fans saw vintage race cars and motorcycles at the West Virginia Racing Heritage Festival held Saturday at Pennsboro Speedway — a historic track that once hosted international champions. The annual event celebrated local dirt track heritage and will return next year on June 5.  WDTV

  • Teen Ellie Ryba, the winner of the SMART529 Sweepstakes from over 4,200 entries, was recognized by State Treasurer Larry Pack at Fat Angelo's Pizza Friday. Her $10,000 check, awarded after finishing 9th grade (she works for her parents), will grow tax-free for future college expenses.  MetroNews
