- ➤ Hundreds of motorcycles will roll through Nitro on Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. at Nitro Living Memorial Park for the presentation ceremony of the 38th Run For The Wall (started in 1989) as community members gather to honor military veterans on its journey to Washington, D.C. - ➤ Earlier this month, a WVU engineering team won first place and $10,000 at the Project MFG Additive Manufacturing National Championship at the ELS facility. Instructor Kelsey Crawford said the team plans to compete in a fall event with a $100,000 prize — a move that may open job opportunities. MetroNews
- ➤ West Virginia University held nine commencement ceremonies at Hope Coliseum from May 15 to May 17, awarding degrees to thousands who embraced its land-grant mission of service and leadership.
