  • Morgantown police responded at 10:30 p.m. Friday to a fight on Price Street that left a WVU student with a stab wound to the leg while visiting a friend—21-year-old Kaden James Vinar from Champlin was arrested and charged with felony malicious wounding.  MetroNews

HEALTH NEWS

  • Local health care providers are facing a critical shortage of physician assistants in West Virginia — experts say new training programs and workforce solutions will be needed to improve patient care. State officials are now planning steps to boost the health care workforce in the near future.  WV News

SPORTS NEWS

  • WVU pitcher Reese Bassinger pitched seven innings in a 3-2 win against Texas Tech on Saturday while the team also beat the Red Raiders 5-0 on Sunday to raise its win total to 39. The column explained that the Mountaineers will chase 40 wins and a Big 12 title by focusing on each new game—stressing that wins should not be overanalyzed.  The Dominion Post
