Morgantown Mayor Joe Abu Ghannam said that Jamie Miller, the first woman to serve as city manager, will begin work on June 23 with a salary of $175,000 a year (she is winding down her role in Paris, Kentucky) and is expected to tackle city priorities such as downtown development, homelessness and litigation with first responders. Abu Ghannam added that the search firm helped draw a strong pool of qualified candidates to meet the city's evolving needs.
