- ➤ Chad Nuce was a special guest at the Service League of Morgantown meeting on Monday night where members installed new officers and celebrated 90 years of service along with the Old Stone House built in 1795. The group, which contributed nearly $471,000 to local programs since 1935, looked forward to another 90 years—continuing its community outreach and education efforts. The Dominion Post

- ➤ On Tuesday, WVU Football Coach Rich Rodriguez and Athletics Director Wren Baker urged the state senate to approve two bills—HB 2576 and HB 2595—that would allow colleges to share revenue with athletes for their name, image, and likeness deals. The legislation creates a framework for non-profit organizations to manage revenue sharing and aims to boost recruitment efforts. MetroNews

- ➤ Today, the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources is stocking streams and lakes with 50,000 golden rainbow trout for the eighth annual Gold Rush fishing event that began on April 1 and runs until April 17—boosting family-friendly outdoor recreation and tourism. - ➤ Departments and offices on the Morgantown Campus recycled over 10 tons of books and paper in mid-March as part of a periodic book recycling drive by the WVU Office of Sustainability. - ➤ Morgantown’s road conditions were rated worst in the state per TRIP data—with 29% deemed poor and drivers spending an average of $875 extra on vehicle repairs. West Virginia Secretary of Transportation Todd Rumbaugh said the state planned to reorganize available funds to improve roads despite rising construction costs. The Dominion Post
- ➤ The Senate Finance Commission approved HB 2960, a bill that would let the Division of Highways contract snow removal services for Monongalia and Preston counties— the full Senate will vote on the measure before Saturday's session deadline.
