  • Volunteers gathered Saturday morning for Friends of Deckers Creek’s annual cleanup at Outdoor Learning Park behind Kroger in Sabraton, partnering with the state Department of Environmental Protection to remove trash from the creek and nearby areas + show local care.  WDTV

  • Sadie Adams from Lincoln High School won the 2026 WVADA state scholarship during an awards banquet at Stonewall Resort. She maintained a 4.50 GPA and ranked second in her class.  WV News

  • Wheeling Central’s Eli Sancomb & George Washington’s Noah Lewis shared the Evans Award on Friday as state basketball players of the year, marking the first time the honor has been shared since 1994. They led their teams to state titles and will join Division 1 schools next season.  MetroNews
