EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Open Enrollment runs through May 15 for WVU benefits-eligible faculty & staff to add, drop, or change benefits for the 2027 plan year; changes take effect on July 1. It is a changes-only enrollment except for PEIA PPB Plan D, so those making no changes will keep their current coverages. West Virginia University
- ➤ WenJuan Mo from Statler College is named First-Year Seminar Instructor of the Year for excellence in teaching and innovative course design. The doctoral candidate will receive $1,250 and be honored at a faculty and staff awards reception at Blaney House in April. West Virginia University
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Department of Biology invites community members to join free wildflower walks at the Core Arboretum on Sunday, April 5. Walks will start at noon, 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. each Sunday in April, and visitors can also explore the blooms on their own. West Virginia University

- ➤ On Wednesday morning, the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals met in the Marlyn E. Lugar Courtroom at WVU College of Law to give law students a firsthand look at the appellate process & its workings. WV News

- ➤ Faculty and staff are invited to relax with WVU certified therapy dogs (hosted by the Office of Compliance and Prevention Education) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 7 at Mountainlair in Vandalia Lounge. West Virginia University
