- ➤ Division of Student Life has restructured its leadership to better serve students. Thanh Le, Olivia Pape, Nathan Harlan, Chris Schmoldt and Sabrina Cave have been assigned new roles in student engagement, well-being and campus operations (the changes align resources with evolving student needs). - ➤ WVU was awarded the 2026 Highly Established Action Plan seal by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge for its work in boosting civic learning and student voter participation. The university plans to build on past success with its Let’s Go VOTE program. West Virginia University
- ➤ Yesterday (March 20), fourth-year WVU medical students learned their residency placements on campuses in Morgantown, Charleston and Martinsburg, marking the culmination of hard work as future doctors celebrated Match Day with family and peers. West Virginia University
- ➤ WVU will use new state funds from the FY 2027 budget to upgrade labs and clinics at its School of Medicine and School of Dentistry — improvements that will expand programs and help students succeed. West Virginia University

- ➤ Monongalia County Sheriff Todd Forbes urged drivers today to plan ahead and drive carefully as nearly 20,000 people are expected for regional events around Hope Coliseum and Mylan Park this weekend (drivers should expect heavy traffic and possible weather delays). MetroNews
- ➤ Gov. Patrick Morrisey signed House Bill 5691 that directs nearly $3 million from a JUUL settlement into tobacco education & prevention programs aimed at reducing youth smoking statewide. WV News

- ➤ Multiple local Planet Fitness clubs donated over 100 pieces of gym equipment to schools, nonprofits, and first responders, including the Morgantown Police Department + University High School, to boost community wellness. WDTV
- ➤ Registration is open for the 22nd annual HIV in West Virginia Conference on April 16-17 at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place, where health professionals will meet to discuss HIV prevention, care and treatment + a welcome reception from 4-6 p.m. offers networking and credits.
