- ➤ Today the WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities introduced a new handbook for classroom accommodations that helps students understand their rights and guides teachers on meeting requests—students can contact the Office of Student Accommodations to get started. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Wednesday, the county commission approved letters asking the Board of Education to return $189,243.21 and Westover to repay $121,935.06 in extra TIF tax proceeds from fiscal years 2020, 2021, and 2022—money linked to a check for over $420,000 written ahead of a bond payment. The commission also approved up to $3,000 for seat numbering upgrades at the Kendrick Family Ballpark—improving the county baseball complex’s seating. The Dominion Post

- ➤ At Kendrick Family Ballpark on Tuesday evening, the West Virginia University baseball team beat James Madison 11-1 in eight innings, earning their 150th win at the park since 2015 and improving their record to 17-1. - ➤ Sophomore Chase Meyer of WVU baseball was named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week after he posted a 2-0 record by striking out 12 in 5.2 innings in two outings against Towson and Oklahoma State—he did not allow any hit or run.
