- ➤ Severe storms have damaged several buildings and left 7,000 North Central residents without power after a building collapsed during demolition in Weston and a roof was torn off in Fairmont—officials reported drain damage in Marion and no injuries while over 40,000 customers statewide now face outages. - ➤ On Sunday, March 16, West Virginia University began assessing damage from severe thunderstorms that caused power outages on and off campus—teams from Facilities Management and University Police worked with Mon Power to restore services, and updates will be shared during spring break ending March 23. - ➤ On Sunday, the 24th-ranked WVU Mountaineers beat Oklahoma State 8-6 at O’Brate Stadium when Jace Rineart hit a two-run home run and Chase Meyer pitched 3 2/3 strong innings—earning his fourth win this season.
