- ➤ BOPARC approved a $620,000 playground project that will add 28 play components over more than 7,400 square feet near the new pool, set to open this Memorial Day weekend. The project, awarded to Veritas Contracting, will include separate areas for younger and older children—plans for a park overhaul in the lower section may be bid in late March. The Dominion Post

- ➤ Today, Robert Summers leads an acrylic painting class at West Virginia Botanic Gardens from 10 a.m. to noon with tickets at $20 for members and $30 for nonmembers, and the Tipsy Teeze hosted Zona Hester on Friday night with $10 tickets and free parking. Tonight, Kandy Muse will headline a drag show at Babylon Nightclub with doors opening at 9 p.m.—a VIP meet and greet starts at 11 p.m. with tickets at $25 and general admission at $10. - ➤ The WVU Student Government Association Judicial Court certified Colin Street as president and Rozaireo Jones as vice president on March 13—set to lead the student body for the 2025/26 academic year—and they will be officially inaugurated on April 13 at Erickson Alumni Center. - ➤ The NCWV Home Builders Association's 47th annual home show opened on Friday at the Hazel (JW) Ruby Community Center, drawing large crowds with a variety of home improvement and remodeling exhibits.
