- ➤ Homestart Closet seeks volunteers to organize the closet, make deliveries, and perform minor furniture repairs as it helps international students establish a new home in Morgantown. - ➤ Governor Patrick Morrisey confirmed that miners are returning to work statewide this afternoon after a temporary halt caused by permitting disputes with the Soil Conservation District; nearly all miners are expected to resume by tomorrow. WDTV

- ➤ Yesterday, West Virginia Superintendent Michele Blatt testified before the U.S. House Committee on Education and Workforce about using artificial intelligence in classrooms. The state had issued the nation’s first guidance for generative AI to train teachers and boost student engagement. MetroNews
- ➤ Monongalia County Schools will host a levy forum on excess funds Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at 131 Pleasant St, where a coalition of parents, educators & business leaders will review how the measure supports school nurse salaries, Chromebook computers, and extracurricular programs. - ➤ At Tuesday’s meeting, the Mon Board of Education recognized Mylan Park Elementary in Morgantown as a National Distinguished School—an honor received during discussions on fiscal matters at the regular board session. WV News

- ➤ WVU Medicine’s Department of Cancer Prevention is moving into a new 10,300 sqft office in the Innovation Corporation Administration Building as approved at the Board of Governors meeting. The project has a $2.6M budget funded by a $50M state allocation, and construction will finish in June (lease starts then). The Dominion Post
