- ➤ WVU John Chambers College of Business and Economics Dean Joshua Hall was honored with the inaugural WV Business Leadership Award for his role as a chief operating officer in a medium-sized business in Morgantown. The award was announced recently & recognizes his leadership. WV News

- ➤ The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra teamed with WVU Theatre students on Sunday at the WVU Candy Creative Arts Center to present scenes from Romeo and Juliet. The event showcased local talent. WDTV
- ➤ Local author Kaylee Scherer held a public book signing at Emerge in White Hall on Sunday; her debut book (The Fisherman's Wife) is the first in a planned 12-book series. WDTV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Monongalia County Schools are strengthening safety by mapping cameras in 19 buildings and developing crisis response plans for emergencies. They are also ensuring coverage with active and retired safety officers (present during arrivals, departures, and recess) to protect students. MetroNews
- ➤ WVU met with incoming provost Beverly Wendland on Friday; she will begin work July 1 and lead the national search for a new vice president of research, while interim provost Paul Kreider updated on dean searches for Eberly College and Libraries and Press.
