- ➤ A Lunar New Year Festival Gala was held today in Morgantown ahead of Tuesday’s holiday, organized by the West Virginia Chinese Association in partnership with WVU Chinese Students & Scholars Association. - ➤ Monongahela Power Company and Potomac Edison applied Friday to the Public Service Commission for approval to build a 1,200 MW natural gas plant at Fort Martin and three 70 MW solar facilities. If approved, the $2.84 billion project will ease energy shortages and generate $258.5 million in tax revenue. WDTV
