  • WVU released its Fall 2025 Dean’s list, President’s list, and full list of graduates. More than 8,000 students earned honors and 1,382 graduates celebrated at December 20 commencement ceremonies held at Hope Coliseum.  WVU Today

  • West Virginia is bracing for a major winter storm, and researchers are studying how catastrophic flooding in Appalachia may affect local habitats.   • House Speaker Roger Hanshaw discussed emergency funding for schools + college nutritional programs during the legislature this week. SPORTS NEWS

  • No. 1 ranked Arizona beat WVU 88-53 last Saturday in Tucson — freshman Brayden Burries led with 22 points as rebounds and transition scoring pushed the Wildcats ahead, and WVU saw its fourth loss to a top-ranked team on the road.  The Dominion Post
  • The West Virginia women’s basketball team beat BYU 91-77 at the Marriott Center Saturday as Sydney Woodley scored a career-high 23 points + the Mountaineers stayed unbeaten on true road games. They will face the Utah Utes at 9:00 p.m. Tuesday in Big 12 play.  The Dominion Post
  • On Saturday morning at Suburban Lanes in Morgantown, thirteen schools competed for the 2026 OVAC 4A-5A bowling championship, with University High girls winning both individual and team titles and Morgantown High boys claiming the team title.  The Dominion Post
