- ➤ BOPARC reported that the main loop trail and floating boat launch at Flegal Reservoir are finished but the 125-acre site remains closed until safety measures and proper signage are in place to protect Morgantown's water supply. - ➤ Frontieras North America purchased 183 acres in Mason County on Monday, Jan. 19, to build a flagship $850 million advanced coal reformation facility that will create over 2,000 construction jobs and 200 permanent roles while converting coal with a zero-waste process. WDTV

- ➤ Senator Taylor introduced Senate Bill 504 to protect rural schools by requiring county boards to deliver detailed impact statements and a 2/3 vote + local voter approval before closure or consolidation.
