  • Morgantown boys basketball stayed unbeaten with a 65-55 win over University as juniors Max Frey and Colin Ridgeway combined for 41 points; the team surged in the final quarter and will face University on Feb. 3.  The Dominion Post
  • Coastal Carolina pass rusher Ezekiel “Zeke” Durham-Campbell has reportedly committed to WVU; he will join the Mountaineers for their season opener against the Chanticleers on Sept. 5 at Milan Puskar Stadium.  The Dominion Post
  • West Virginia men’s basketball beat Colorado 72-61 Saturday night in Morgantown — star Treysen Eaglestaff scored 22 points to keep the team perfect at home. The Mountaineers will travel to face Arizona State on Wednesday, Jan. 21 and top-ranked Arizona on Saturday, Jan. 24.  The Dominion Post
  • The oldest Toughman contest in the state concluded today at Nathan Goff Armory with winners crowned after two nights of packed competition. Contest winners receive a $1,000 prize & a winners jacket, and the event finished with a bout for the vacant cruiserweight state championship.  WDTV
