  • Hazel's House of Hope in Morgantown is upgrading its lobby, exterior and service spaces using $1.6 million from congressional earmarks, with extra funds from state reps; upgrades finish this summer.   • WVU coach Ross Hodge led his team to an 86-75 win over No.22 Kansas at Hope Coliseum as he guided timely layups while Kansas coach Bill Self noted better offensive execution — a promising start with six Top 25 opponents remaining.  The Dominion Post
  • Chams Diagne, a veteran Georgia State corner, announced his transfer to the Mountaineers on Saturday afternoon as the team sought experienced secondary help after recent graduations and eligibility changes. The 6-foot-4 player, rated 3-star by 247Sports, is expected to vie for a starting role in 2026.  The Dominion Post
  • Alabama kicker Peter Notaro announced his transfer to WVU on social media. The Wexford native joins 22 new commitments to boost the Mountaineers' specialist unit after the portal opened on Jan. 2.  The Dominion Post
  • The WVU women’s basketball team will face Iowa State today at 3 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum as they plan to use full-court pressure to slow top scorer Audi Crooks + rebound from a recent loss while the Cyclones try to break a two-game skid.  The Dominion Post
  • University beat Huntington 58-46 in the New River CTC Invitational on Jan. 10 with Bri Fox scoring 33 and Whitney Cox adding 12; Huntington's Lala Sloan scored 27 points.  MetroNews
